Loyalty in Relationships
Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
You've been asked time and time again.
Given opportunity after opportunity to talk to your partner.
Chance after fucking chance. They're giving you that opportunity because they love you, because they want you more than anything in the world.
They're giving you that opportunity to be honest.
That's all they've wanted from the beginning.
Because even though it might hurt, and that's what you are thinking about...
It would hurt a whole lot less than living the lie.
No matter how small it might be, your still not being 100% with your partner.
Your partner finding out on their own what was/is hidden is the most horrible thing.
It's the worst feeling in the world.
It completely crushes you.
Going through the trouble of deleting browser history, deleting the app when you're around them just to download it later when they aren't around, downloading special apps to hide folders, or to back up things to (contacts, images, maps, etc) that's password protected (nothing looks more suspect) naming contacts under a fake name.
Having multiple profiles on different social media platforms.
How is that being honest and loyal to your partner?
Making excuses for how images ended up on a device instead of just being honest?
What good does it do?
How is that being honest and loyal to that person who's given you their heart?
Especially after it's been broken so many times.
They ask you to not have contact with that person and they have every right.
They not trying to control you.
Not trying to get you to do away with whatever the contact was made on.
They just want security and reassurance.
When they tell you it's been done before, you really should be listening not just hearing them.
They know the signs even the little things when something is off.
"You can't have your cake and eat it too." Best phrase in the world in my opinion.
The fact you're going through all this trouble.
Do you really, honestly Love that person you're in a relationship with?
Or do you just like the feeling?
"There's a difference between Loving someone and being in Love with them."
You just have to figure it out.
It takes a lot of work to make a relationship work. No one is perfect.
Arguments happened, you get mad at each other.
That doesn't mean you go looking for attention elsewhere.
Not if you love them like you say you do.
There's so many quotes blaming the Internet for what's wrong with relationships now days.
The thing is it's not the internet's fault.
That person chooses to do those things.
They make the conscious decision to make contact or keep the interaction going.
Openness in a relationship is wonderful, even in the bedroom.
No partner should be afraid to speak up if they want to try something new, or different.
You're not going to be judged.
You shouldn't feel ashamed.
Your partner is supposed to be the one safe place you have, no matter what.
That person LOVES you.
Besides things like that help spice up a relationship.
You shouldn't be afraid to make suggestions.
It's been than turning that attention you should be giving your partner to someone else.
