Method Behind The Madness
Most of my writing comes from emotion and/or experiences. Life lessons learned most of the time the hard way. In my opinion it takes courage to do creative writing in certain forms. You're speaking from the heart. Which is a raw honest thing some fear sharing. Giving a glimpse into your mind. You should always be prepared for judgment and criticism. There's always an opinion. As well as hopefully a way to relate, things someone else couldn't say and in that moment it resonates making them not feel so alone or misunderstood.
For me writing is easier than speaking. I can get so much more out through written word. When you’re constantly dealing with a hurricane of thoughts on a daily bases it gets difficult to say what you actually mean without it going badly. Being misunderstood. Or not finding the right word to use. It becomes a unnecessary argument or you end up offending/ pissing someone off because a poor choice of words was used. You give up what you're trying to express simply because of your short attention span causes your train of thought to go off the track.
Being a emotionally driven person. Someone who was told all of their life that they wear their heart on their sleeve... a bleeding heart is the worst.
We care so deeply. We trust so easily. We give everything we can, we do everything we can for whoever expecting nothing in return.
No matter who hurts us, what hurts us, or how we are hurt. We are that good hearted person to our core. We pride ourselves on our loyalty because that is just part of who we are. No matter what's been done to me that is something I'd never change about myself. This world nowadays is a very cruel place. People don't try to put themselves in another person's shoes. What it's like to be that person. They remember all the wrong that's been done to them. And because of that 'bleeding heart' and the pain, betrayal, and sadness they felt. They could never do that to someone. We remember the feeling of your heart being ripped from your chest and breaking into a thousand pieces. The hurt and confusion of finding out the truth. The feeling of not being good enough, and of being used. Left wondering why, how long, and how much was actually honestly real? This cold ass world is hard for people like us. Words are empty and don't have the meaning behind them as we've believed all of our lives. Some of us end up getting turned just as cold as the rest. The rest hold on to the belief that there still has to be some kind of good in the world, some small kind of kindness. It helps to make us feel useful. And we always keep in mind that everyone needs help sometimes, everyone needs kindness. Because holding onto hope is the only thing some people have that keeps them from jumping off the ledge.
They don't try to think about how just a small act of kindness to someone could possibly brighten their day if the rest of it has been horrible. The fact that you could be the one and only reason that person smiles today. We as 'Bleeding Hearts' can be the most broken person on the inside. Being held together by glue and duct tape, but we always try to help in some way. We're good listeners. We can give others good advice, but can't find a way to help ourselves. The little things matter to us, because sometimes more thought and feeling goes into that small thing than something extravagant.
Materialistic things aren't important. Feelings and love have no price. They're priceless and more valuable than anything bought or sold.
